I have a question for you, we are using remote deposit now and we are finding that many of our clients are upgrading their computers to the new MAC and the connector piece is a Type C so we have been using a dongle to connect the Type C to the Type A that is compatible with a Panni Scanner.
Have you run into this before?
Here is what JHA has to say
“it appears the customer is using a Panini scanner with a Mac computer. That setup is compatible if using the USB (type A) cable that was provided by the scanner manufacturer. The USB dongle they are using has not been QA tested/approved which would explain the inconsistent results. I am not aware of any check scanner manufacturer that supports a USB C connection. The only possible workaround at this moment would be to try another brand USB dongle, or use a Windows PC that has a USB (type A) connector. Any solution outside of this would likely require a development effort to which I cannot speak on. The product manager over the RDN application would be able to confirm if this is even possible.”
I am also checking with the production manager of development to see if they can even do this. He is going to get back to me, I’m sure it would be a CWR if they can even do it. I will be out tomorrow so I’ll let you know Monday after he replies.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you
