Hello,
I am seeking more information on if other FIs are able to find a better workaround and/or device that can assist in the below issue we are facing.
We are looking to replace our current SilverLake Teller Capture scanners with a scanner that has ID scanning capability built into the device for our Synergy jhaID scan software. From what I have been told by JH, we cannot use an ID scan feature on any teller capture scanner because only one application can have the active control of the scanner at a time (and I have been told that Teller usually connects first and holds the scanner connection). In addition, we were told if we were to go with a Canon CR120/150 there would be additional steps for a “workaround”- purchase a full Acuant license file and the scanner would have to be coded to be for ID Cards only which would cause issues with scanning in the first place.
