If a teller does not have a drawer assigned then they will have the ability to access any drawer at that location. JHAs suggestion was to add a test drawer to avoid this issue. Is anyone using a different solution?

      That is correct.
we assign specific drawers to all tellers because of this. If you assign them a test drawer you will also have to assign them their actually drawer so they can see it. I’m not sure what adding the test drawer will do for you unless it is for a person that doesn’t use a teller drawer for transactions

Our institution does not assign a drawer so they do have access to all available drawers at the assigned branch location. This seems to work for us as there are times the branch will audit by reassigning drawer numbers to force a cash count before use.

If you have additional questions please email Lwade@watrust.com. We don’t assign Drawers, we assign Branches so they can only access their drawers.
